Chapter 8

We found ourselves in a room by ourselves. Sitting at a table in the middle of the room. The dragons put us in here temporarily as they tried to gather information. I looked over to Hank and Hoy with concern. "You sure they won't kill us?" Hank shrugged, with Hoy ignoring the question.

The door to the room opened up by sliding upwards like a futuristic door would in fictional stories. Two drags walked through, one was a guard and the other was Bellhic. He looked at the both of us with a grin. "I'm sorry for the wait, my friends. We were just getting some information to better understand who you guys are."

I decided to lean forward into the table as I looked at Bellhic. "Can we talk already? It's kind of important."

"Really? How important is it that you two came to us of all creatures in the universe?" Bellhic walked over to the table and looked at us both.

"It's about the Robanians." I admit calmly. Bellhic's expression didn't change, but his tone shifted to curiosity.

"Robanians eh? What about them?"

"We came here to ask for help on where to find them. We want to destroy them before they cause more harm." Bellhic chuckled to my words, getting a good look at us, before laying his eyes firmly on me.

"Oh really? Why should I believe that two randoms can destroy a species like the Robanians? The most powerful species in the entire universe. It just doesn't seem believable." Bellhic laughed a little as he glanced back at the dragon guard behind him.

"But it's true! We destroyed one of their spaceships back on my planet when they attempted to destroy my species. We saved tons of lives!" I looked over to Hank and Hoy for confirmation. "Tell him you two." I say with a demanding tone. Hank and Hoy both nod in approval.

"Absolutely! We're telling the truth Bellhic." Hank says with confidence and a lack of lying in his voice.

"And we did it with the AzLean Sword too." I pulled out the still formed umbrella and placed it on the table in front of us. I grew quiet when I realized this and looked up to him. Bellhic looked down to the umbrella, his expression showing he's about to burst out laughing. Which is exactly what he started doing after a minute of awkward silence. The guard pitched in shortly after him when he noticed the insanity of the situation.

Hank, Hoy and I all grew annoyed expressions and waited for them to stop laughing. As Bellhic laughed, he started to say words as he got in control of his laughter. "I've never heard such a ridiculous story." He looked back to the guard again. "These fools think they can stop them with an umbrella."

I try to speak my words, trying to explain. "It's not really an umbrella I-." Bellhic finally got a hold of himself and stopped laughing entirely. Though, his expression still remained a large grin.

"Of course it's not! It's obviously a stick!" The guard laughed from the comment. Bellhic chuckled, but didn't laugh. As soon as the guard stopped, I took a deep breath and thought to myself before speaking.

"Listen, Bellhic. You may not believe we destroyed a spacecraft. However, we truly are honest about targeting the rest of their fleet." I used every inch of honesty as I could to convince him.

Bellhic's expression faded to seriousness as he examined me entirely. Then, he sighed as he motioned for the guard to leave the room. The dragon guard nodded before making his way out of the room, closing the door behind him. Thus, leaving Hank, Hoy, and I with Bellhic alone. Bellhic cleared his throat as he lifted his claw up to his chin and thought to himself for a second.

"Alright, if you are being legit. I suppose I can offer some information to give to you." Our expressions grew a smile after hearing this. "However, we won't help fight them unless you prove you're truly legit. That means, getting rid of all their battleships, the headmasters and the grandmaster himself. If you can do that, then we got ourselves a deal."

Hank, Hoy and I nodded in understanding. "We can do that." Hoy says.

Hank spoke up shortly afterwards, "Grandmaster will be difficult, but we can see what we can do."

Bellhic's eyes looked over to me, "However, the true proof will have to be getting us mullah's."

"Money? What money?" I am confused.

"Not money, mullah. The gem that generates the magical energy of a Robanian. Usually invisible to the regular eye, until one has been killed." Bellhic continued to look into my eyes with a serious expression. "If you can bring back plenty of mullah's, then the deal will be truly accepted upon us."

I look over to Hank and Hoy, before nodding to Bellhic. He took a step back and nodded, before heading back to the door or the room. "Before you guys go, would you guys like me to show you a room to get some rest? It's going to be a long journey." Bellhic looked over his shoulder to the three of us. I glanced at Hank and Hoy, then looked back at the dragon leader.

"You know what? I think that would be nice. I haven't got any sleep in a while." Hank and Hoy didn't say anything, but nodded in agreement with me.

"Follow me, I'll lead you two to some rooms." Hank and Hoy got up from the seat, beginning to follow Bellhic out of the room. I followed closely behind them, taking my transformed AzLean Sword as an umbrella with me. As we left the room and into a hallway. The room was also futuristic, with modern lighting hidden amongst the walls.

The hallway felt relaxing and calming. As we walked down the hallway, we got to a four way intersection with more hallways. Bellhic lead us down the left hallway from the one we were in. Which, then lead into a large room with a large opening amongst the middle. Looking upwards, it looked like there were 10 floors total. Each floor had a modern light railing along the side. It was like something I had only seen in movies.

Bellhic led us over to a counter in the middle of the room. Which had a check out counter, tons of compartments with keyholes in each one, possibly meant for each room. Two more dragons were sitting behind the counter, but had no visible armor on them. It was almost like they were completely naked. Though, I shouldn't be surprised since they had fur on them.

Bellhic spoke to one or the two dragons. The dragon behind the counter got up from its chair and turned around to the locked compartments. They took out a key and unlocked two random compartments and took out something from inside them. Turning back around to face Bellhic and give him the items in its claws. As soon as they finished, the dragon sat back down and returned to what they were doing.

Bellhic turned to us and motioned with his head for us to follow. Continuing to follow him until we got to an elevator. He followed him inside, which he turned to the controls and pressed a button. Though, it appeared that the label on the button was from an unfamiliar language. I looked up to Hank and Hoy, feeling slightly uncomfortable. When they returned the looks, their expressions of confidence made me feel a bit better.

As soon as the elevator came to a stop, the door opened and Bellhic led the way. Still following them from behind Hank and Hoy, I looked over the railing. Noticing that we were on the 4th floor. The drop itself made my stomach drop a little, so I looked back forward. After a few minutes, Bellhic came to a stop in a room. Using the item in his claw to unlock the door and opening it.

Bellhic handed over the item, possibly being the key to the door to Hank and Hoy. "Get some good rest, before you guys leave. Make sure to lock the door and hand it over to the dragons at the counter." Hank and Hoy both nod before walking into the room and closing the door behind them. Bellhic looked back to me, walking up to him.

Once I walked up to him, Bellhic started walking over to the next door. As soon as he walked up to the neighboring door. He took the key in his claw and unlocked the door, then opened it. I walked over to the doorway and turned on the lights with the light switch beside the doorway. As soon as the lights turned on, the room lit up with a modern interior. It fit perfectly with the rest of the building we found ourselves in.

Bellhic spoke to me as he watched me check the room. "Looks very fancy to what you're used to, eh?" I looked back to him and nodded.

"We have a huge hierarchy when it comes to currency, which kind of affects how common I see this stuff."

"Hm." Bellhic reached out his claw toward me, the key to the room in it. "Get some good rest, remember to return the key to the front desk before you guys leave." Bellhic repeated what he told Hank and Hoy previously. I nodded to him, before heading inside the room. Bellhic walked off in the direction we came from. I closed the door behind me and examined the bedroom I found myself in.

The lights were integrated within the walls fancily. A green plant on a bedside table of a very smooth and flat bed sheet cover. The bed was colored pure white, with a spruce colored bed frame. It appeared to be a very large king size bed, could possibly fit four people beside each other, with still plenty of room left to not feel cramped.

I knew that this species was dragons, which meant they had to accommodate their sizes. However, it was insane to be in a room of such giants. I decided to check the rest of the room out. Though, I only found the bathroom with the classic features. Only with slightly larger proportions to fit the dragon species.

After checking out the entire room, I walked over to the door and locked it from the inside. Then, I headed back to the bathroom to freshen myself up. I took a shower and did my private business as usual. Once I was finished, I walked out of the bathroom fully dressed. I placed the umbrella against the wall beside the bed. Then, I climbed into bed and laid onto it. I placed the back of my head against the pillow and looked up to the ceiling.

I stretched my arms and legs out to get comfortable. Once I felt good enough, I reached out my hands and clapped twice. To my surprise, the lights went out. The room went entirely dark, allowing me to start falling asleep. I closed my eyes and let myself drift away to sleep.
